MRD

MRD makes professional clippers, trimmers and foil shavers for barbers, and the range is built around one idea: a brushless motor that holds its speed. A clipper that loses power as the battery drains is a clipper you stop trusting halfway through a fade, and every machine on this page is engineered against that.

The four families

Smart Brain is the flagship: a full metal body, an EON long-life brushless motor and DLC-coated blades. The Smart Brain clipper runs a DLC ECHO blade set with the crunch barbers fade by, plus a switchable tight/stretch taper bracket; the Smart Brain metal trimmer pairs a Black Diamond Carbon X-PRO blade with four hours of runtime. Both come in six finishes.

Smart Brain Light is the same engineering at a lower weight and price. The Light trimmer is 162 grams with a 360° skeleton head; the Light clipper is 250 grams, runs at 7500 RPM and ships with six magnetic guards. If your wrist complains by the end of a long day, start here.

Vector is the power line. The Vector clipper uses a 9V AC magnetic motor, Japanese 440C steel blades and Cool Blade technology that holds the blade at 38–39 °C after two hours of continuous work. The Vector foil shaver adjusts its torque to hair density automatically, which is what stops a shaver biting on a coarse beard.

Olympics is the limited-edition run — the same tools under full-body artwork printed into the finish, not applied as a sticker.

Entry-level and consumables

The Uranus and Pro X cover the affordable end without giving up the zero-gap blade or the guard set. And because blades and foils are wear parts, not faults, the range includes Diamond, Faper and Crunch / Echo clipper blades, trimmer blades, Vector shaver heads and blade oil.

Warranty

Every MRD machine sold by Viva Cosmetics carries a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
