GAMMA+ Glory iV – Professional Infrared Hair Straightener With Vibration Technology
Straighteners and curling irons are the finishing tools of a salon, and they are also the tools most likely to damage hair if the temperature control is poor. This small, carefully chosen collection covers both: three professional straighteners from JRL and GAMMA+, and one curling iron. Choose on plate or barrel material, on how precisely you can set the heat, and on which protective technology suits the hair you work with.
Plate material and heat distribution
All three straighteners here use floating plates, which pivot under pressure so the plates stay flush and the hair does not snag. The GAMMA+ Vapor Styler uses ceramic floating plates at 28 mm x 110 mm; the GAMMA+ Glory iV uses extra-large ceramic and tourmaline floating plates, which style a wider section per pass and cut static; and the JRL Straight and Curl Sapphire uses a graphene-enhanced ceramic coating over a 2.8 x 10.9 cm plate.
Temperature control: set it for the hair, not the habit
Precise heat is the whole point of a professional iron. The JRL Sapphire adjusts in 5 °C steps up to 240 °C with Smart IC heat control keeping the plate surface even. The GAMMA+ Vapor Styler runs 120 °C to 230 °C and the Glory iV 150 °C to 230 °C, both with a digital display. Both GAMMA+ irons publish the same working ranges: 120-180 °C for delicate hair, 180-200 °C for resistant hair, and up to 230 °C for keratin treatments.
Infrared, steam and vibration
These are the features that separate a professional straightener from a high-street one. The GAMMA+ Vapor Styler Infrared combines an integrated steam system with infrared heat, which preserves the hair's natural moisture and makes it a strong choice for dry, treated or keratin-treated hair. The GAMMA+ Glory iV pairs infrared heating with a vibration system, so the iron glides with less pressure on the hair shaft.
Curls: barrel size and heat-up time
For curls and waves, the barrel decides the shape. The GAMMA+ Iron Clip XL Gold has a 25 mm barrel, which gives defined curls and soft waves rather than tight ringlets, and an extra-long 165 mm heated barrel that speeds up long or thick hair. It runs 170 °C to 230 °C with an anti-static coating, a cool tip and an LED temperature indicator.
You do not always need a separate iron: the rounded plate edges on the GAMMA+ Vapor Styler and Glory iV let you form waves with the straightener, and the JRL Sapphire is designed to straighten and curl with one tool. It heats up in about 30 seconds.
- Fastest heat-up: JRL Straight and Curl Sapphire, around 30 seconds
- Best for damaged or keratin-treated hair: GAMMA+ Vapor Styler Infrared
- Best for thick hair and long sections: GAMMA+ Glory iV, extra-large plates
- Safety: all four irons switch off automatically after 60 minutes and use a 360° swivel cord
Style on hair that has been dried properly first, with a professional hair dryer from the same brands.
