The MRD Smart Brain clipper is the fade machine of the range: a full metal body, an EON long-life brushless motor and the DLC ECHO blade set that gives it its characteristic crunch.

EON LONG LIFE brushless motor — 7200 RPM

A high-efficiency digital brushless motor running up to 7200 RPM: steady power, quieter running, minimal heat and a long service life. Output stays flat under intensive work rather than dropping off through the day.

DLC ECHO blade with the “crunch”

A DLC ECHO fixed blade paired with a Shallow 2.0 moving blade produces the crunch sound barbers listen for when fading. That sound is feedback: it tells you the blade is taking hair cleanly rather than pushing it, so you can work a transition by ear as much as by eye.

Zero gap and adjustable taper bracket

The blade zeroes for ultra-close cutting. Beyond that, a taper bracket system lets you switch between tight taper and stretch taper settings — a genuine difference in how the lever behaves, not a cosmetic option, and a spare stretch bracket is in the box.

Metal body and magnetic drop-top

The full metal housing gives durability and a stable grip. The magnetic drop-top cover lifts straight off for cleaning, and three interchangeable covers ship with the machine so you can change the look without changing the tool.

Battery and charging

Up to 2.5 hours cordless, full charge in about 120 minutes over USB-C.
