ASAKI furnishes the shop and arms the hand. The collection splits cleanly in two: salon furniture — chairs, a backwash unit and a tool trolley — and a line of hairdressing scissors cut from VG10 cobalt steel. No cosmetics, no clippers, no consumables.
Barber chairs
Four chairs, all hydraulic. The PLAIN is the entry point and the most flexible of them: a unisex chair with a reclining backrest, offered in three finishes — black leather on a black frame, grey leather on a black frame, and black leather on a chrome frame — so it can be specified to match a fit-out rather than fight it.
NEWSCHOOL BLACK is the minimalist monochrome option, a single black finish over a hydraulic pump. Above them sit two chairs at the same price and with very different characters: IMPERIAL BLACK pairs a matte black frame with ultra-soft leather, while MONACO VINTAGE BLACK puts an ultra-soft seat on a 360° swivel.
Backwash unit and trolley
The BERGEN washing column is a professional backwash unit finished in black PU leather, for shops that wash on site rather than sending clients to a separate basin. The Barber Trolley Pro is a steel tool trolley with eight drawers and built-in UV sterilisation; the UV lamp has its own operating and safety instructions, and they are written out on the product page — read them before the first use.
Scissors in VG10 cobalt steel
Seven pairs, all cobalt, each built around a different hand. SLIDE CUTTING is VG10 cobalt with a removable finger rest, in 5.5" and 6". VAK05 has a convex cobalt blade hardened to HRC 62 and a click system, in 5", 5.5" and 6". VAK101 is a matte black cobalt pair in a barber-designed shape. VAK35 is matte military green cobalt with a flex handle, in 5.5" and 6". VFX05 runs powerful cobalt blades with a built-in finger rest, and the Master Series VMA02 is VG10 cobalt with a 3D ring, in 5" and 5.5".
The seventh is the one most catalogues skip: a genuinely left-handed pair in VG10 steel with a 3D ring, built with the blades and handles reversed rather than a right-handed pair sold to a left-handed hairdresser.
Choosing a length
Shorter blades give more control and suit detail work around the ear, the fringe and the neckline. Longer blades cover more hair per stroke and make scissor-over-comb and bulk removal faster. Most hairdressers who work all day end up with both, which is why the sizes are sold as separate variants rather than as a set.
